The Travelling Band

Bipul travels extensively with The Travelling Band for all his concerts that consists of a line-up of experienced musicians and crew who are incredible artistes in their own right.

Pranai is a Grade 8 (Trinity College of Music, London) trained Classical Guitarist and is also the Founder/Director of 'Blue Notes School of Music' in New Delhi. He is considered to be amongst the top professional guitarists of India and has toured extensively across the world with Bipul as well as many other bands.

 

He also performs regularly at various Jazz Festivals around the country and is involved in other projects, viz. DRIFT the Trio, BLU, J-Hola and the Lucknow Experiment.

RAHUL RAI Bass

One of the youngest member of the performing band, Rahul is a Grade 8 (Rock School, United Kingdom) Graduate on the Bass Guitar apart from having been a part of the music faculty at 'Performers Collective' and 'Blue Notes Music School' in India. He has travelled, performed and recorded music with most of the top names in the Indian Music Industry all over the world.

AMAN SINGH RATHORE - Drums & Percussions

Aman is a highly experienced drummer who perfoms with the ‘Advaita’, one of India’s leading fusion bands. He is also an active studio session musicians and has two albums to his credit and has appeared and performed on ‘MTV Unplugged’ and ‘MTV Coke Studio’. He is now touring extensively with Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band as part of the entourage.

KIRAN NEPALI - Sarangi/Tungna/Backing Vocals

Kiran has performed extensively in the UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Malaysia, Nepal, India & Malaysia. He is also part of 'Kutumba', a band from Nepal as well as a Music Instructor. He is also actively involved in the preservation of indigenous and Nepali folk craftsmanship and promotion of handmade instruments through an active organisation 'Project Sarangi', which also teaches traditional Nepali instruments.

PRINCE NEPALI - Sarangi/Tungna/Backing Vocals

Prince Nepali was born into the Gandarbha musical tradition of Nepal where he grew up playing the Sarangi and Tungna. He was trained by his father Mr. Shyam Nepali, a pioneer in Sarangi playing. He has been the part of the music TV series ‘Kripa Unplugged’ in Nepal, where he performed with top Nepali artistes for 2 whole seasons. He also performs regularly with Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band along with internationally known artistes like Ani Choying Drolma, Nyhoo Bajracharya, Deepak Bajracharaya, Sujan Chapagain and the Sakchyam Band and has toured with them across the world.

ACHINT (SHIVAM) KHARE - Keyboards, Melodica, Backing Vocals

Apart from being an MBA and a qualified engineer, he is a Grade 7 Graduate in Western Classical Piano from ABRSM, UK and has a Diploma in Jazz performance from 'Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music', Chennai. He also performs and plays sessions with most of the top bands in Delhi and is the Director of School of Symphony in New Delhi, India.

BINAYA MAN AMATYA - Sound Designer

Having trained with Mr. Coleton Paskert, the renowned audio engineer and producer from Chicago, USA, Binaya has been working as a live sound engineer since 2007, gaining professional experience as a monitors/FOH mixer and has touring experience in a wide variety of small to large venues for a diverse range of event types. Working directly for artists as well as for production companies, he is our Go-To-Man for all our Live Sound Mixes.

SONAM TASHI - Manager

Manager for Bipul Chettri and The Travelling Band since its inception taking care of all online/offline promotions, social media, music distribution, marketing, tour logistics, press etc. He has been active in the music circuit in India for the past 30 odd years while managing this band and tours since 2014 in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, Nepal, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom till date.
